CMS (Content Management System)

A platform that allows users to create, manage, and modify content on a website without needing to code (e.g., WordPress). There are tradeoffs however.

Pros

• Good for clients that intend on changing and updating most of their content on a regular basis.
• Flexibility. Changes can be made more quickly without relying on a third party.

Cons

• increased maintenance of
  • CMS software,
  • plugins,
  • server for web hosting
• increased server costs
• slower website performance
